Dr. Vijeth R Shetty is a distinguished expert in Chemistry. He holds a Masters degree in Analytical Chemistry from Bangalore University. He earned his Ph.D. from Kuvempu University in energy storage materials. His doctoral research focused on rechargeable lithium-ion battery development. He possesses over twelve years of combined teaching and research experience. He has taught Analytical Chemistry and Molecular Spectroscopy extensively. His teaching also includes Organic and Inorganic Spectroscopy disciplines. He contributes to Inorganic Chemistry and Group Theory applications in Chemistry. His research emphasizes sustainable and biodegradable organic electrode materials. He focuses on aqueous and non-aqueous rechargeable battery technologies. He has published several research articles and scholarly book chapters. His contributions reflect significant advancements in energy storage research. Since 2023, he serves as Assistant Professor at Christ University. He is based at the Bangalore Central Campus in the Chemistry Department. He currently researches Li2S, zinc-ion, and sodium-ion secondary batteries.
