Dr. Koppada Uma Shankar holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from CSIR - Central Food Technological Research Institute. He specializes in food and bioprocessing, with expertise in food chemistry, molecular techniques, and secondary plant metabolites. His skills include flavor metabolite studies, microbial encapsulation, and nutraceutical formulation. Dr. Shankar has a proven research background, contributing to high-impact journals and commercializing technologies for the CSIR-CFTRI repository. He is an active member of prestigious professional bodies, including the Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (AFSTI), Indian Science Congress (ISC), and Society of Biological Chemists (SBC). With experience spanning academia, industrial incubation, and research, Dr. Shankar has showcased a diverse and versatile career. Since 2024, he has been an integral part of Christ University, Bangalore. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at the Bangalore Central Campus.
