Dr. Sreekanth R holds a Master's in Biophysics and PhD in Structural Biology. He earned both degrees from the University of Madras. His research expertise encompasses structural biology, structural bioinformatics, and drug discovery. He investigates molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases and therapeutic drug development. His research focuses on nuclear receptors, protein kinases, and structure-based drug discovery. His work spans target validation, molecular investigations, and preclinical drug development. He has published research in Nature Chemical Biology, PNAS, and Nucleic Acids Research. He has numerous Protein Data Bank depositions and several drug discovery patents. These include patents granted in the United States and Singapore. Before joining CHRIST University in 2024, he held research positions at NTU, Singapore. He also completed postdoctoral research at Lund University, Sweden. He received fellowships from the Lady Tata Memorial Trust and India's Department of Biotechnology. He was selected for the prestigious Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship. His academic contributions integrate structural research, molecular therapeutics, and pharmaceutical innovation.
