The Centre for Indian and Foreign Languages was established to further the University policy of promoting languages. The following foreign languages are offered by CIFL, as value added courses. Corresponding to the first of the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the courses will run across two semesters as A1.1 and A1.2 for 55 - 60 hours each, from 1 July to 30 Sept’25 and 1 Nov’25 to 10 March’26. Under NEP, students are eligible to earn credits for these courses as well as give the international exams upon successful completion of the 110–120-hour courses.
A Beginner course in Hindi is being offered to students of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) since September 2021.
