  • ACCA

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants. ACCA aspires to proffer “business-relevant, first-choice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance and management.”
ACCA assists 178,000 members and 455,000 students in 180 countries, facilitating them to develop successful careers in accounting and business, with the skills needed by employers. ACCA functions through a network of 95 offices and centres and 7,110 Approved Employers worldwide, who provide high standards of employee learning and development.

In order to become an ACCA Affiliate, students need to clear 13 papers spread across 3 levels of evaluations, Foundation, Fundamental and Professional.
A signed MOU between ACCA and CHRIST (Deemed to be University) enables students of Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance and Accountancy), from the Department of Professional Studies, to get the privilege of 9 paper exemptions out of the 13 papers of ACCA. Curriculum from the exempted and rest of the 4 non exempted papers are integrated and embedded into the syllabus of BBA (F&A).

 

 

 

  • CIMA

In order complete CIMA qualification, students need to clear 17 papers and Case studies spread across 4 levels of evaluation, CBA, Operational, Managerial and Strategic.
A signed MOU between CIMA and CHRIST (Deemed to be University) enables students of Students of BCOM Professional from the DPS, get the privilege of 10 paper exemptions out of the 17  papers and Case studies of CIMA. Curriculum from the exempted and rest of the non-exempted papers are integrated and embedded into the syllabus of BCOM Professional

 

 

  • CFA

The CFA Institute aims to serve all finance professionals seeking investment management-related education, knowledge, professional development, connection, or inspiration and to lead the investment profession's thinking in the areas of ethics, capital market integrity, and excellence of practice
CFA Institute seeks to set professional standards for investment management practitioners and broadly engage other finance professionals through their interest and interactions with the investment management industry. Improving outcomes for investors advances our social mission and benefits members through greater demand for educated and ethical investment management professionals.

In order to complete the CFA qualification, students need to clear 3 levels of the exam.
BCOM (International Finance), from the DPS, is the only UG programme in India that comes under the CFA Institute’s ‘University Affiliation Program.’ This collaboration enables selected students of BCOM (IF) to receive scholarships for the CFA (L1) exam, the curriculum of which is integrated into the final year syllabus of BCOM (IF). The collaboration also offers internship opportunities.

 

  • CPA (USA)

A certified public accountant (CPA) is a designation given by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to individuals that pass the Uniform CPA Examination and meet the education and experience requirements. The CPA designation helps enforce professional standards in the accounting industry. Other countries have certifications equivalent to the CPA designation, notably, the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.

To complete the CPA qualification, students are required to clear 4 papers in the key areas of Financial Accounting and Reporting, Regulations, Auditing and Attestation and, Business Environment Concepts.
All the 4 key areas are integrated into the first two years of the UG curriculum of BCOM (International Finance) programme from the DPS.

  • CII

The Chartered Insurance Institute, a professional body dedicated to building public trust in the insurance and financial planning profession. Our strapline Standards. Professionalism. Trust. embodies the commitment to driving confidence in the power of professional standards: competence, integrity and care for the customer. The CII deliver that commitment through relevant learning, insightful leadership and an engaged membership. Our 125,000 members commit to high professional standards by maintaining continuing professional development and adhering to a published ethical code. Their Royal Charter requires them to secure and justify the confidence of the public.
At DPS, a collaboration is in the pipeline for the students taking up Insurance as an Additional Discipline Specific Course.

 

 

  • IFoA

Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) came into being on 1 August 2010. It is the UK's only chartered professional body dedicated to educating, developing and regulating actuaries based both in the UK and internationally.
At DPS, a collaboration is in the pipeline for exam paper exemptions for the students of MSc Actuarial Science.

 

 

  • CPA (Australia)

As Australian equivalent of CPA USA and CA, India, CPA Australia focuses on the key areas of Ethics and Governance, Strategic Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Global Strategy and Leadership and, taxation.
At DPS, a collaboration is in the pipeline for exam paper exemptions for the students of BCOM (Finance and Accountancy)
