Program Overview
Indo-German First Year BTech Credit Transfer Program (CHRIST-THWS) facilitates the student transfer to THWS, Germany for their Undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B. Engg)). Under this certification program, students would be subjected to undergo the courses which are prescribed to the students of first year BTech program under Department of Science and Humanities, School of Engineering and Technology. In addition, students would be trained in German language proficiency course (A1 and A2 certification equivalent upon additional payment). Post their completion of certification program, students meeting eligibility criteria of 3GPA without active backlogs would be recommended for admission with our partner university viz. THWS (former FHWS), Germany for Bachelors in Mechatronics/ Bachelors in Business and Engineering/Bachelors in Logistics Engineering/Bachelors in Robotics. CHRIST (Deemed to be University) would only recommend students for admission and don’t promise any seats with German University. Office of International Affairs (OIA) would assist the recommended students for visa interview, travel plans and mentor them on German Lifestyle through third party agency. Above students, if in case, fail to meet the required eligibility criteria, would have to undergo re-admission process for the above certification program. However, the same students could be transferred to regular BTech program based on the request from the student subjected to availability of seats. This program would give better visibility to students in terms of international studies facilitated by CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Few highlights of the program:

  • No tuition fees at THWS, Germany (only semester enrolment fees, varies with year)
  • Candidates are responsible for the following expenses
