Course Description
The Course outlines the value of counselling skills in interpersonal interactions. This course aims to equip students with effective human relationship skills to facilitate effective interpersonal functioning, personal growth and development. The course is built on a developmental - humanistic – experiential framework where participants are encouraged to reflect on their personal awareness as an ongoing process with the development of helping skills. This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop basic skills of counselling and guidance thereby enabling them to be better people helpers. In addition students are also given a broad context for practicing their counselling skills by taking into consideration life transitions, developmental lags and other major/minor life events.
