The Department of International Studies, Political Science and History is part of the School of Social Sciences, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Central Campus. The Department offers one undergraduate programme in History and Political Science with economics minor (BAHP) and 2 Post Graduate programs in MA International Studies and MA Public Policy and 3 PhD programs in History, Political Science and International Studies.
Additionally, the department offers BA Political Science (Honours) programme at Bannerghatta Road Campus and BA Economics and Political Science programme at the NCR, Gaziabad campus.
These programmes introduce students to the theory and practice for History, Political Science and International Relations. It provides a platform to understand and analyse historically and in contemporary times, issues of power, authority and governance. Studying and discussing the key questions that confront academics and practitioners can help students become better citizens while enhancing their analytical and communication skills. The experienced faculty of the department create several opportunities for the students to explore the wide array of issues that arise in politics today and help students hone their skills of enquiry and research.
