Dr. Yamuna Nair earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala. Her research focuses on DNA binding studies, optical sensing, and modifications of Metal-Organic Frameworks. She is currently leading research on DNA-related biological applications, fluorescent organic molecules, carbon dots, and luminescent metal-organic frameworks. Dr. Nair serves as a Co-PI on a project funded by the Vision Group of Science and Technology (Government of Karnataka). She has numerous publications in high-impact journals, showcasing her contributions to the field of chemistry. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Analytical, Physical, and Inorganic Chemistry. Currently, Dr. Nair mentors a research team of two Ph.D. scholars and several B.Sc. and M.Sc. students. Her dedication to teaching and research exemplifies her commitment to advancing both scientific understanding and student development.
