Prof. Miriam Priti Mohan has 16 years of teaching experience in higher education. Her academic interests include Social and Developmental Psychology. She researches self and identity development in young adults and youth involvement in social responsibility. She has organized capacity-building workshops for school teachers and parents to support childrens academic and socioemotional well-being. From 2015 to 2019, she participated in a USIEF-funded international research project with Miami University on culturally competent mental health care. Additionally, from 2017 to 2019, she collaborated with the University of Las Vegas on research exploring attitudes towards dogs among college students in India. Her ongoing doctoral research focuses on community engagement among young adults. Prof. Miriam has also contributed to service learning pedagogies for university teachers and students. As a representative for the Centre for Social Action, she facilitated social responsibility activities and organized field trips. She has served as Editor-in-Chief of Perspective, the magazine of the Department of Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University).
