Dr. Elizabeth Thomas is a counselor educator with extensive academic and professional achievements. She holds two master?s degrees in counseling and health psychology, along with an MPhil and a doctorate in psychology. Before joining Christ University in 2009, she worked with the National Health Service (NHS), UK, for three years. Dr. Thomas has significantly contributed to the counseling psychology program at Christ University. She received the 'Excellence in Teaching' Award from the university in 2024. Her research focuses on youth mental health, group psychotherapy, family studies, school counseling, and counselor education. She has been part of international collaborative grants with institutions like Miami University, Ohio, and the University of New South Wales, Australia. She has co-authored numerous publications with international collaborators and students. Her work has been presented at various national and international conferences. Dr. Thomas has played a key role in international partnerships with universities such as the University of Louisiana Monroe and the University of the Western Cape. She has held multiple administrative roles, including Counseling Program Coordinator and Department Coordinator. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Human Resource Development Centre, leading faculty and staff training at Christ University.
