Dr. Nisha James is a Counselling Psychologist with a doctorate from IIT Hyderabad. Her research spans Social Psychology, Positive Psychology, Health, and Counselling Psychology. She is also trained in palliative care counselling from Christian Medical College, Vellore. Dr. Nisha has worked as a school counsellor, counselling psychologist in a psychiatric clinic, and at a hospice. She has a few publications in reputed journals. During her PhD, she presented her research at international conferences in Florida, USA, and Cyprus. At the SEWSA conference, she was awarded a travel grant. In Cyprus, she participated in a pre-conference workshop, meeting distinguished professor Howard S. Friedman. Since June 2021, Dr. Nisha has been working as an Assistant Professor at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore Central Campus.
