Dr. Deepakkumar S serves as an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at CHRIST (Deemed-to-be University), Central Campus, Bengaluru. He has worked extensively on identifying risk and protective factors and designing psychological resilience interventions. His research also covers mindfulness and art-based interventions for adolescents and young adults. Dr. Deepakkumar's doctorate focused on protective factors and challenges for divorced, separated, and widowed women. He has also worked on bullying and victimization among school children and published related research. His primary research interests include Positive Psychology, Indian Psychology, Neuropsychology, Music, Acupuncture, LGBTQIA+ studies, Meditation, Religion, and Spirituality. His research is featured in peer-reviewed and Scopus-indexed journals. He has earned recognition, including best paper awards at national and international conferences, for his academic contributions.
