Dr Kowshik Kukkemane is a researcher specializing in behavioral neurosciences and aging. His expertise includes chronobiology and circadian mechanisms influencing biological processes. He holds an MSc in Applied Zoology from Mangalore University. He graduated with first rank demonstrating strong academic performance. He received the DST INSPIRE Fellowship for doctoral research support. He completed his PhD in Animal Science from University of Hyderabad. His doctoral research focused on circadian aspects of aging processes. He pursued postdoctoral research at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. His work there examined various aspects of emotional behavior. He has published in high impact peer reviewed journals and book chapters. His current research explores neurotoxicity and animal behavioral mechanisms. He joined CHRIST University as faculty member in the year 2023. He actively contributes to teaching, research, and academic mentoring. He is committed to inspiring students in biological sciences education.
