Dr. Kiran V. Sagar is an accomplished academician and researcher with over a decade of experience in the Operations Management area. He holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in CAD/CAM, and earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy (NIT Trichy). His doctoral research focused on developing intelligent and sustainable scheduling models for flexible manufacturing systems aimed at optimising operational efficiency while reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint. His teaching and research interests include Inverse Problems, Multi-Objective Optimisation, Metaheuristics, Machine Learning, and Sustainable Manufacturing. At CHRIST University, he teaches courses such as Lean Operations and Management, Service Operations Management, Project Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). He is also actively engaged in advancing Digital Twin technologies and Green Supply Chain frameworks, integrating optimisation techniques and data-driven analytics to promote industrial sustainability and strategic decision-making.
