Dr. Jisha Mary Thomas earned her Ph.D. from Pondicherry University under Prof. C. Sivasankar's guidance. Her research focused on synthesizing, characterizing, and studying manganese carbonyl-based CO-releasing molecules (CORMs). These studies involved investigating their cytotoxic effects on selected cancer cells. She explored carbon monoxide release using different light sources during her doctoral work. Dr. Thomas has expertise in Density Functional Theory (DFT) for analyzing metal and organic molecule stability, interactions, and reaction mechanisms. She has contributed to several peer-reviewed international journals as an author and co-author. Her publications highlight the synthesis, stability, and catalytic abilities of organometallic compounds. Additionally, she has authored a book chapter on copper(I) phosphine complex chemistry. Since June 2024, Dr. Thomas has been an Assistant Professor in Christ University's Chemistry Department. Her academic contributions and research excellence enrich the Bangalore Central Campus.
