Dr. Embassy Lawbei specializes in Media and Communications. She holds a Master's in Journalism and Mass Communication, and a PhD from Mizoram University. Before joining academia, she worked as a journalist for News18 Northeast. Her coverage included politics, culture, sports, and the Assam-Mizoram border conflict. In 2018, she joined CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and contributed significantly to the development of the Liberal Arts program at the Bannerghatta Road Campus. Her research centers on conflict communication and tribal communities' communication patterns. She has published several articles in national and international journals. Dr. Lawbei has led several government-funded research projects. She also writes for national media outlets like "The Quint" and others.
