Dr. Deepa V K has extensive research experience in Economics and Policy Studies. She has worked at esteemed institutes like RIS, NIPFP, and VVGNLI in New Delhi. Her professional journey includes contributions at the Ministry of AYUSH, JNU, and Kerala's Planning Board. Dr. Deepa also collaborated with the Institute of Public Health in Bangalore. She earned her PhD from the Centre for Studies in Science Policy, JNU. Additionally, she completed postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) in Bangalore. Her research primarily focuses on policy studies related to Traditional and Alternative Medicine. Dr. Deepa has also explored diverse fields, including Planetary Health, Intellectual Property Rights, and Labor Studies. Her work spans Gender, SDGs, and Science and Technology Studies. She was an active member of JNU's Trans-disciplinary Research Cluster. Notably, she contributed to AYUSHs policy initiatives for protecting Indias Traditional Knowledge.
