Dr. P. S. Sarathlal is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Christ University, Bangalore. He specializes in Public Economics and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Central University of Tamil Nadu. His doctoral research focuses on fiscal autonomy and state-local fiscal relations in Kerala. Dr. Sarathlal earned a Masters degree in Economics from Dr. John Mathai Centre, University of Calicut. His research interests span union, state, and local government finance, fiscal federalism, and decentralization. He has authored several works exploring centre-state-local fiscal relations. At Christ University, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses. His subjects include public economics, statistics, and macroeconomics.
