Dr. Nita Thomas is an accomplished professional with 19 years of experience in academia and hospitality. She has been an Associate Professor at Christ University since November 2004. Her extensive industry experience includes working with Manipal Group of Hotels, Le Meridien, and The Leela Palace. She specializes in front office management and guest relations. Dr. Thomas's research expertise spans time management, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. She has published papers on digital technology and management topics. She has successfully led three funded research projects, including an ICSSR-funded project on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (2023-24). In academics, she teaches front office management, coordinates accommodation specialization, and oversees exams and alumni relations. She holds a Ph.D. in General Management from Jain University and a Masters in Hotel Management from Annamalai University. Dr. Thomas has additional certifications in technology applications, AI basics, CHAI Certification, and serves as a trainer for the World Skill Council, under the Government of Karnataka.
