Dr. Robert Linton Tavis Ashton-Bell earned his PhD from Monash University, Australia. His specialization is in higher education music teacher education. He began learning music at the age of four with piano and recorder. Since 1995, he has performed as a clarinet and bass clarinettist in Australia. His roles include soloist, orchestral, and experimental performances. His composition, Peninsula Sketches, premiered in Melbourne during the "Made in Australia" concert series. It was performed by The Grainger Wind Symphony in 2016. Dr. Ashton-Bell's research focuses on multimodal music education, particularly hermeneutical phenomenology. His interdisciplinary work spans music, neuroscience, neural networking, mathematics, and nanotechnology. He has published extensively in academic journals and contributed book chapters. He serves as a peer reviewer for the International Journal of Music Education. His expertise is sought globally for workshops, presentations, and training sessions.
