A wide range of disciplinary intersections is pursued by way of research at the department. Faculty members with expertise in areas including popular culture, fan fiction, film studies, visual culture, gender and intersectionality, postcolonial spatiality, ecocriticism, sociolinguistics, cultural disability studies, English language pedagogy, among others, are involved in exciting research currently. Many of the doctoral scholars of the department are also involved in some significant research in these areas. The library at the campus is well-equipped with the most recent works in many of these areas, along with a subscription to important journals in these fields.

Faculty research publications, including journal articles, are forthcoming in some significant Humanities and Social Sciences Journals like Economic and Political Weekly, South Asian Review, Literary Geographies, Frame Journal of Literary Studies, among others. Some significant major and minor research projects in the fields of pedagogy and curriculum, cultural studies, ecological discourses, etc taken up by the faculty members are also in progress.
