The program is recognised by many Universities abroad as a rigorous program and have accepted students who graduated for their PG programmes. The World Education Services (WES) has also recognised the three years B.Sc Psychology (Honors) program to be equivalent to the four years Bachelor program offered in various universities abroad until 2020.

The department requires each student to undertake and complete an undergraduate dissertation. Students are divided into cohorts and supervised by a faculty member, but are given the freedom to pursue any topic of their choice and formulate a research project on it. 
The student’s research progress is continuously monitored by a panel of faculty members at stipulated time. Many students have published research findings in conferences and symposiums. Some researches are translated into peer-reviewed academic journal articles as well.
