Topic: Human Labour vs Automation
Venue: Room No 368,Floor IV, Block III, Kengeri Campus, CHRIST.


The debate was conducted by the CACE during the time period from 21st July 19 to 31st July 19. As the debate is a very important, as well as a delicate activity, it was conducted in an organised manner. The judges of the debate being Sarathchandra K, Srinidhi Lakshmish Kumar, and Dr. Jacob Alex Kollerathu, and organisers Jeetin Bishnoi (5 BTCI) & Adhil (5 BTCI). Total number of participating teams were twelve teams from all the years of Civil Engineering students . It was a very interactive and learning event. Keeping all the rules and regulation and debating skills teams were selected to proceed for the next round, in the total of three rounds where third being the final round.
The topic of the rounds was as follows respectively:

  • Experiments on animals are humane or not!
  • Evergreen construction vs Economic Construction
  • Human Labour vs Automation

The event was successfully conducted with each team given 7 minutes to speak on their topic and 3 minutes to conclude. With this the Team Robin & Sadhana (7 BTCI) won the debate competition.
