Being part of the founding team of Christites for Climate Action (CCA) was a transformative journey. From a small group of fewer than ten passionate individuals, under our founder Suhas's guidance and mentors' support, we grew into a thriving community of over 1,000 members. Designing the CCA logo was challenging yet rewarding, and I'm honored to have led a dedicated design team of five students who gave their best to bring the vision to life. I cherish the countless meetings in conference rooms, often concluding with lively conversations over beverages at Nandini. Our treks and eco-drives not only nurtured environmental impact but also deepened our bonds as a family. My heartfelt wishes to the Father VC, founding team, teachers, and all at CCA. This is just the beginning of a long-lasting impact!

Being a part of Christites for Climate Action (CCA) was a transformative experience, shaping my perspective on sustainability and collective responsibility. As a committee member of the events management team, I had the privilege to contribute to impactful initiatives, planning and executing events that promoted sustainable practices across campus.
One of the highlights of my journey was leading the water wastage audit, an eye-opening exercise that underscored the importance of mindful resource consumption. Another rewarding experience was organizing the Menstrual Sustainability Week, which educated and empowered peers on sustainable menstrual practices, driving meaningful change in attitudes.
The SDG Stall provided a creative platform to engage students with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, fostering awareness and action. The dedication and collaboration within CCA not only enriched my skills but also instilled in me a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship.

The climate is degrading, and are we doing anything for it? This is a question that I have asked myself forever. Although the answer to it was mostly ‘no’. This was until I met Suhas in 2022, who invited me to attend a session of CHRISTITES FOR CLIMATE ACTION. That was the start of the journey. I started working for the then Tree Plantation Committee, whose sole purpose was to identify the location of tree plantations and arrange for the tree plantation drives. As I was familiar with the location of St. Mary Farm, I was made head to lead it. I did my work efficiently and organized multiple tree plantation drives there with the help of volunteers. Our work also extended to putting up the stall and other awareness campaigns. After a few months, I started looking for other committees under CCA as well. I was involved in the logistics and the route plan, and with Suhas handling the overall coordination, it became efficient. With the eminent guidance of Lakshmi Ma’am, Jithin Sir, and Sayantan Sir, we improved the planning and overall organization of the club. With this journey from volunteer to head, I learned that leadership is not only a sense of work but also integrity and responsibility. This organization helped me work not only for the environment but also for ourselves. A volunteer is someone who works not for the money but for the cause, and it makes him humble throughout his life. Climate change is real, and people like us should be aware of it. I wish for the committee to grow further, spread more awareness about climate action, and do its best.

Joining Christites for Climate Action (CCA) was one of those serendipitous moments that ended up shaping my entire experience at Christ University. What began as a happenstance quickly transformed into one of the most enriching journeys of my college life.
Under the banner of CCA, I found myself immersed in a community of passionate individuals dedicated to the well-being of our planet. It was invigorating to work alongside like-minded peers who shared a deep-seated concern for the environment. Every small action we took, whether it was organizing the 'Blue March' to raise awareness on water conservation or participating in various initiatives, felt like a significant step towards a sustainable future.
One of the most inspiring aspects of my time with CCA was witnessing the dedication of individuals like Suhas LS, the coordinator, whose tireless efforts fueled the momentum of our collective mission. His commitment to the cause served as a constant reminder of the impact that each of us can make when we channel our passion into action.
As I reflect on my time with CCA, I'm filled with gratitude for the memories we created and the lessons we learned together. From brainstorming innovative ideas to volunteering for various activities, every moment was a testament to the power of collective action. These experiences are not just fleeting memories but invaluable treasures that I'll carry with me for a lifetime.
I wholeheartedly endorse Christites for Climate Action and commend their relentless pursuit of environmental advocacy. May their endeavors continue to inspire others to join the movement towards a greener, more sustainable future. Together, let's ensure that every effort, no matter how small, counts in the fight against climate change.

From the era of global warming to the present reality of global boiling, our journey has been extensive. Advocating and actively contributing to the cause has always been my goal. Christites for Climate Action (CCA) has provided me with the perfect platform to amplify my efforts in any way possible. I've been with CCA since its inception, involved in various capacities.
As a member of the social media committee, I helped drive our message forward. Additionally, during our plantation drive at St. Mary’s farm, I had the privilege of serving as the photographer for the day. These experiences opened doors for me. Taking on roles such as committee head and being part of the core team allowed me to demonstrate my commitment to the cause. I brought forth ideas and initiatives, both within and beyond the campus, to raise awareness about climate change. Through my journey with CCA, I learned that with great titles come great responsibilities. Personally, working with people who share a similar mindset dragged me to be more self-aware and changed the perspective of acting to the cause. This brought out the urge to create an impact on what we were doing.
The urgency of addressing climate change cannot be overstated. If not now, then when? It's imperative that we act, and that begins with raising awareness. The committee is tirelessly working towards this goal, and I wish them continued success in their endeavors. Together, let's ensure that every small action counts.
