A career in the Indian Civil Services is a dream for lakhs of youth in India as it offers an attractive and challenging career to the ambitious, the aspiring and the talented. The wide variety of jobs within the fold of the Civil Services have relatively greater sphere of authority and power than any other services in India. Keeping this in mind, The Department of International Studies, Political Science and History has launched UPSC orientation programme for its under graduate students.
Orientation programme is divided in to two parts-  

1.Orientation Class (Once in two weeks)
o Duration – 1 hour (includes Orientation class and Q&A session)
o Entry – Open to all through registration 
o Nature – A thorough run through of the exam and its intricacies involved. 
o Day- Friday, 4pm - 5 pm

2. MCQ and Quiz (once in two weeks)
o Entry – Open to all through registration
o Day- Friday, 4pm - 5 pm
o Duration – 1:00 hrs
o Content –  General Knowledge, Current affairs, Important topics related to History and Political Science.
