Dr. Anupama Nayar serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Government of India. She specializes in Indigenous and Indian Knowledge Systems, with a focus on the sacred groves (Kavus) of Kerala. Her interdisciplinary research promotes cultural preservation, decolonization, and sustainable development. Dr. Nayar incorporates GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion) principles in her work, emphasizing inclusivity and social justice. She has mentored several MA students and guided doctoral scholars in ethnographic and auto-ethnographic research methods. Her expertise equips students with skills in qualitative data collection and analysis. In her administrative role, she oversees institutional communication standardization and branding, contributing to academic management. Her recent research involves preserving Indigenous Knowledge Systems in collaboration with Keralas local communities, integrating traditional practices into sustainable frameworks.
