CHRIST

Students from outside the India who would like to spend part of their degree at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) may be able to do so through the Exchange programme.

An Exchange programme is designed for undergraduate/postgraduate students from our partner universities worldwide, who wish to spend a period of time studying in the India, earning credits to transfer back to their home university.

Modules are available across most disciplines and are part of the regular undergraduate/postgraduate curriculum, enabling international exchange students to study alongside India-based home students.

Academic requirements

To study at CHRIST as an exchange student or study abroad you should normally:

Successfully completed one year of under graduation/post-graduation study at a recognised institution.
Student must be officially nominated by your home university to participate in the CHRIST study abroad/exchange program
Good academic standing at your home university

English language requirements

The University reserves the right to require that any applicant be required to undergo a test of English language.
Depending on the countries, related by individual universities, you may be required to specify the particulars if not already covered as an automatic exemption. In such cases the International Office will most likely evaluate the validity of the waiver request on a case by case basis.

IELTS (Academic)

An overall score minimum in IELTS (academic) of 6.0 (with no band score of less than 5.5 - include academic reading, Listening, Speaking and writing modules).

Note: Results are valid for two years only.

TOFEL (Next generation internet-based test)

An overall score minimum of 70 with minimum score of: 20 in the writing section; 14 in the reading section; 19 in the speaking section; and 17 in the listening section.

Prepare supporting documentation

As part of your Exchange application, students will need to submit the following supporting documentation:

Certified* copy of your most recent official academic transcript
Certified* proof of English language proficiency
Copy of your passport

*Certified copy: signed or stamped by a home university representative or emailed directly from your home university representative's office.

Applying as Exchange

Student

Exchange students are exempt from paying CHRIST tuition fees, instead these fees are paid to their home institution.
