Centre for Social Action has associated with 8 international universities, as part of bilateral cooperation on the community development programs and student exchange programs through Memorandum of Understanding.  Students from partner universities across the globe, choose CHRIST (Deemed to be University) for field work placement and service-learning projects which can be for a duration of 3 weeks and go up to 6 months. Some students even take up a yearlong course as part of their academic curriculum. The students are given opportunity to explore the problems of certain communities at grass root level and by using their capabilities help the people to come their problems. The students are usually placed in the urban slum development projects of Centre for Social Action and in Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) which work for social development based on the motivation and interest of the student. This rich experience gained, contributes to their professional and personal development. Apart from this, the students also get a chance to experience Indian villages and understand the lifestyle and scenarios of the rural sector.

The international students are guided and supported by the CSA team and faculty members from the department of Sociology and Social Work. They have their weekly meeting where they share their learning experiences and challenges, further to which they are assisted to achieve the results. It is mandatory for the students to complete the course, as they get a credit from their respective university.

Students from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) also get a chance to go to these international universities for a semester or for different international programs. Apart from student exchange program, there is faculty exchange program, where the faculty takes classes for the students, involve in joint research, involve in student evaluation process, participation in seminar etc.
